I went to see Juno last week and….. WOW….. what an awesome movie. I totally LOVED it. Made me laugh, cry and come over all warm and fuzzy. Ellen Page was simply amazing, I really wanted her to win the Oscar.
Talking of Oscars (I bet you’re impressed by that seamless link) it was on in the afternoon over here and I managed to catch the good bits. And didn’t Katherine Heigl look gorgeous? I love her work. Especially in Greys.
Talking of Greys (I bet….. ok, not funny the second time) this season rocks. I think it’s my favorite program (and that’s saying something)…. with Dirty Sexy Money coming a close second. I’m not counting Idol because…. well, because I’ m not.
My writing is fun at the moment. I’m just doing a last run through of my Tween/Middle grade book before shipping it off to my agent, and have a YA proposal I’m working on.
It’s crazy busy time at the moment in the motel…. lots of weddings, events, tourists and our regular corporate clientele. It’s a good job I don’t need long uninterrupted hours to get my writing done, or I’d be screwed!
Barrie Summy Says:
I loved Juno too. May RV love your MG novel! (You write soooo much faster than me!)
Christina Phillips Says:
whoops - I missed the next two epis of DSM!!!!! And I confess I wanted to slap House’s new assistants for the way they were running round after him last night. ugh! Bring back Cameron and Chase!
Erica Orloff Says:
I loved Juno, too, and was rooting for her. I thought the movie was very clever (in writing) . . . . and each cast member was cast perfectly. And I thought it was much more emotional than it seemed at first blush.

Sara Hantz Says:
I totally agree, Erica. I was pleasantly surprised at its depth.
Maureen McGowan Says:
I like Dirty Sexy Money, too… Sadly I fully expect it will be canceled. I hope not. I think it’s a show that might have done better on a US cable network than one of the big broadcast ones. It might have been a bit better if they could have pushed the envelope a tad further… Not that the priest character, in particular, isn’t pushing some boundaries. Love that character. And Donald Sutherland (my fellow Canadian) can do no wrong in my books.
Sara Hantz Says:
I LOVE the priest character too….. so funny… and totally against type! Everyone I know who watches it loves him. And yes DS is great. I hope they don’t cancel it.
Alyssa Goodnight Says:
Haven’t seen Juno, didn’t see the Oscars, haven’t seen Grey’s…see a pattern here?
But the writing is going good here too. Having a little hotel sounds fun–from afar. Faced with the work, I might not be so excited about it.
Caryn Says:
That’s it. I am officially the last person in the world to see Juno. At this point I have to wait for the video, since it’s long gone from our theater.
Sara Hantz Says:
Caryn that often happens to me…. I keep meaning and meaning to go to a movie then miss it. Enchanted is one I’m still waiting to see…
Teri Brown Says:
I loved the Oscars this year. And katherine looked lovely, as usual. Haven’t seen Juno yet, but I am going to soooon!
