I’m so excited because our local video store is letting you hire five dvds (not latest ones) for a week for only $5. I KNOW!!!!
So, I’ve got loads of teen movies out, and plan to spend tomorrow glued to the TV! All in the name of research, you understand.
Other news….. I’ve just started writing a new book and I’m really excited by it. It’s about a girl who totally gets the wrong idea about something, and her reaction to what she thinks has happened has huge consequences - I bet that’s as clear as mud, isn’t it??? It feels like ages since I’ve done any writing (though really it’s only a month between finishing my last one and starting this one) and I’ve been getting really twitchy.
Hope you all have a great weekend!!

I watched She’s The Man again last night. It’s a bit of a stretch that everyone thinks Viola is her twin brother (esp since she is SHORTER than him!!) but I do love that movie and it makes me laugh!
amanda ashby Says:
Oh, I love She’s The Man, Amanda Byne is hilarious and Channing Tatum doesn’t like wearing a shirt - works for me!
Regina Says:
Ooh I can’t wait for the new book!!
I just came back from China. Went there for holiday for 10 days. I would recommand John Tucker Must Die. It’s hilarious. Mean Girls would be great too.
Sara Hantz Says:
Yes, I watched John Tucker the other day LOVED it! And Mean Girls is a favorite of mine too.
I haven’t seen She’s The Man yet.
Teri Brown Says:
Hope you have fun watching movies:) I’m having a hard enough time finding time for my TV shows this month!

Oh I LOVE “research”– the best part of the job!
All the best on the new book– I’m already intrigued!
Brooke Taylor Says:
Research is the best part of being a YA writer. Although, it was a tad embarrassing asking the bookseller to help me locate “Bras and Broomsticks”.
Alyssa Goodnight Says:
Have fun with your movie marathon, and good luck with the writing!
Regina Says:
Hi Sara! Have a spooky Halloween. =D
Sara Hantz Says:
Thanks, Regina…. you too!
Barrie Summy Says:
I love books that start out “as clear as mud”!!! Happy writing. Enjoy the honeymoon stage. Because you know what comes next—revisions!!
Sara Hantz Says:
Thanks for the reminder, Barrie hahahahaha
